Applying to U-Mich College of Engineering - most likely EECS - im trying to get the app in by mid-dec...else it'll be in by late jan

School: New magnetesque hs in NJ - 2nd graduating class

SAT: 730m610cr - 1340
(retaking in Dec...expecting >760 in m, >670 cr - 1430)

SATII: 760chem700ic...expecting >780iic

GPA: 4.0 UW U-Mich GPA - (my school uses QPA and gives out percentages - my final grades for all my classes in 10th & 11th were >90%) - most rigorous courses

Recs: should be awesome...didn't read them, but both teachers absolutely love me. My gc red should be decent.

Essays: should be above average, if not excellent

EC: Excellent

CS Related
-applying my comp sci/comp eng skills including volunteering at habitat humanity (tech & finance dept) & creating a youth group site for my church (the site is really powerful) (>500 hr comm serv)
-creating my own technology company
-placing in the national & state level in computer competitions
-in my internship class, im working on a very powerful piece of software (PM me if you want to know what it is)

^ Are you sure? I thought Mich was a reach for me. My SAT verbal score is very low, especially for an OOS student. Aren't OOS Sat scores extremely high? Isn't the COE difficult to get into?

I would say you're a match....your gpa is good and your sat...while not spectacular is also decent...the thing thats really holding you back is applying that late in the decision cycle...oos admissions for engineering are competitive...and with michigan doing rolling admissions....there possibly will be few spots left come january...
