<p>I know there's a ton of these out there, I'm just nervous and I really want to go to UT. I'm applying to McCombs.</p>
<p>Here are my stats:
Asian Male
-Attend Magnet School focusing on the sciences
-91.6% Unweighted GPA (School does not weight nor rank)
-Superscore SAT: 1400/2190 (M:690 CR: 710 W: 790)
-SAT II: Bio-M: 650 Math II: 640 (Retaking in January)
-ECs:2 Club Presidencies (one political club and one debate club), Founding third club this year (business-related club), involved heavily in all of them and have state level positions in the political and debate club; officer of technology club; licensed EMT
-600 hrs of community service through 2 activities
-IB Diploma Candidate
-Founded tutoring company alongside a classmate
-NHS; National Merit Commended Scholar</p>
<p>There were several out of state students that I met during orientation. We discussed grades and I remember one kid from New Jersey who was definitely not as qualified are you. He was going petroleum engineering, though, and I’m not sure how that would compare to applying to McCombs from out of state. I would be surprised if you didn’t get in, though.</p>
<p>Thanks! Do you know what the class ranks of those OOS people generally were? Although my school doesn’t rank, I’d be in the top 25% according to my guidance counselor, but thats not saying much since my grade is less than 100 students. I really hope it doesn’t kill my chances though =</p>
<p>Well, if your school doesn’t rank, it doesn’t rank, so your rank can’t hurt you. My son’s OOS school didn’t rank, either. Your stats look good, and they should like your IB diploma. I think you have a good shot, but I’m just a stranger on an internet board, lol.</p>
