I have strong leadership extracurriculars, a 4.2 weighted GPA on a 4.0 scale, 3.8 unweighted, and a 32 on the ACT (33 superscore). Is there any chance that I could be accepted during early action or will I most likely be deferred?
I have nearly the same credentials applying EA and, from my understanding, it will come down to essays and a bit of luck. UVA is just so difficult to get into OOS.
Do you think there is a chance that we will get denied and not deferred?
Remember that GPAs are calculated differently from place to place. Your number only means something in your high school. At UVA, we look at actual coursework and grades to assess the academic preparation of a student.
