OOS, DD, out of hope...

Saw this stat in another post--The middle 50% of our out-of-state students score between a 1380-1430 (Critical Reading and Math). My DD is 10pts below that range, but has a very strong application otherwise. Any hope?

Remember it is a range…some OOS will be below and some above. If the rest of the application is strong, she has a chance.

As Wirefox stated, the middle 50% range is just that, a range. 25% of our out-of-state students score below a 1380 and 25% above a 1430. 10 points on an SAT will never be the reason we decide to admit or deny anyone. We practice holistic review and review everything in a student’s file before making a decision. The SAT is one part of our application, no more than that and no less than that.

Thanks for the information, W&M. You are always so helpful.

It’s our pleasure.
