I've gotten $14k in scholarships, but iowa will still be 25k a year for me. To people from out of state that are middle class, how are you affording U of Iowa? Are there anymore scholarships available?

fill out the FAFSA and consider a student loan to pay for the rest.

With all due respect Mitch, the $14k you’re getting - considering what you’ve posted here in the way of stats - is pretty generous and you should be glad to have what they’ve given you. As a general rule, state schools are much less generous with merit aid than the private colleges are. You’re getting about 3x the national average in merit aid from a public. As for the balance, newman22 is right - borrow it. And apply to more schools; you don’t know what you’ll get until you apply.

Yeah I’m sooooo thankful they’re making me pay $25k a year for my upper quartile stats lol.
Fill out their net cost calculator and see how much money they’re estimating you’ll receive in financial aid. You may be surprised
