yaa so im an OOS male, with i guess competitive scores for UVA, a strong GPA, SAT scores in the average, and some really strong hooks with EC's.

Now im applying to the school of nursing, any chance that this is gonna give me an advantage?

Do you actually want to become a nurse or are you just applying to the nursing school because you think you will gain some sort of advantage in the admissions process?

well heres my logic, i want to go pre-med. And the the nursing curriculum will give u the pre med requirements plus more clinical experience then typical pre-meds recieve. Like for example, your second year of nursing school you already are learning how to read EKG's, etc. While i dont necessarily plan on being a nurse, any career in medicine interests me, and i will learn from it. Im not against being a nurse, it just isnt my career goal. Ive shadowed CEN's numerous times and I enjoy that profession. So while i feel it may give me somewhat of a boost, i also feel it would be beneficial in many other ways.

If you don't want to be a nurse you should try looking into the College of Arts and Sciences instead. You could also try the Engineering School, but that's not a preferred route.

i know all the options, but its not that i havent ruled out being a nurse, it just leaves alot of doors open. So if i choose not to become a doctor, i dont have to become a biology teacher lol

So does it give me somewhat of a boost since im a guy

It depends. You're saying you want to go to the nursing school primarily because it fits your pre-med requirements. I'm not sure how they will respond to that when you write your essays. However, being a male probably would give an advantage in the nursing school admissions, as long as you show the proper enthusiasm and desire to become a nurse. They typically do not get very many male applicants compared to female ones.

yeaa i just gotta get over the ego now. And na, not primarily for the pre med, also because i think it will expose me more to the medical field then just taking science classes, so id get a broader view of everything.

If you're a guy applying to the nursing school and you're stats are good you're almost guarrenteed to get in. Just don't write something stupid in your essays...which would be like "I'm just keeping my options open by applying to the nursing school."
