Well, the students who are direct admits as first years need a 3.65 to stay in the program, and those who compete to as sophomores to get into the program also need that minimum GPA, with at least 45 credits. How far along are you at your CC? When would you be hoping to enter the program, in Fall of 2017?

Fall 2016. I haven’t completed the calculus requirement yet but I’m taking it this semester. I’m good at math so I’ll get a good grade. Also I won’t be submitting my application until the end of this semester due to the need for the calculus class, so my GPA will be higher by the time I apply.

I suggest you call the Business School and ask about the timeline for transferring into this specific program. Current students have already completed applications to enter the IB program in Fall 2016, but maybe the schedule is different for students transferring in from other schools.

Yes I already contacted the regional admissions rep and she said I could apply at the end of May because the deadline in July 1. Deadlines are usually different for transfers.

Oh, that’s good news about the deadline. Selections from current students will be made in about a month so really your chances will depend on how many spots are left and how well your essays are received. Your ECs are certainly business-oriented, which should help, as would strong foreign language skills. Don’t send your SAT and HS records if you have enough CC credits; you will present a stronger application with your more recent accomplishments.
