OOS UC gpa

Hello! I am a OOS high school freshman interested in applying to some of the UCs. I know that the schools have a different way of calculating the UC gpa for non California residents. How will I be compared to in-state students? Is there anyplace I can search for OOS GPAs for admitted students? Thank you so much!

UCB does not breakout UC GPA admission data for OOS students vs. In-state on their website but the UCOP website will cite the admit rates based on OOS, In-state and International (not updated for 2021) and UC GPA admission data by source High School.

UC’s will consider 3 UC GPA’s: unweighted, capped weighted and fully weighted. For OOS applicants, only AP/IB classes taken 10-11th grades will get the extra honors weighting in the calculation.

Here is the calculator: GPA Calculator for the University of California – RogerHub

Here is a link to the UCB Freshman profile: Student Profile - Office of Undergraduate Admissions

For 2020, UCB’s OOS admission rate was lower than in-state. Also be aware that as an OOS applicant, UCB and the other UC’s offer little to no financial aid so expect to pay full fees at around $65K/year currently.

Currently the UCOP website has not updated the admit information for OOS/In-state and International based on GPA but I have posted the 2020 numbers overall. Depending upon intended major, the admit rates do not reflect the competitiveness for popular majors such as CS/Engineering/Biology etc…
