I'm posting this in a few forums so if you've seen it already, skip this, as it's the same!

We're going to the Open House on April 11th but, being from NY, we will be leaving on the 10th and therefore "forcing" our Freshman daughter to join us. She'll see Brigadoon with us but will probably spend much of Saturday in the hotel room. Any chance anyone else is visiting with a Freshman sibling in tow? Perhaps we could lessen their burden if the two of them could get together. Thanks!

Ummmmmmmmmm. You have the funniest post on CC. This his hilarious on so many levels.

(Do explore usc, check the option that parents are not coming, and they will give teh student the option to stay overnight in a dorm with a current student.

There are some Explore sessions in April- they are one day sessions. I’m not sure how many of them are still open. However, it’s still cool that you are coming with your daughters. Your younger daughter could still hang out on campus- get a smoothy at Jamba Juice, hang out (hopefully) in the sun on McCarthy Quad with a good book. It can also be nice if she goes to some of the sessions- seeing what a typical college dorm room/classroom/library look like can be good for comparison further down the road. I don’t know if any other younger siblings are coming, so that is all I can offer for now!

amtc – Have you called USC Theatre Admissions? They seem to be quite willing to accommodate as many guests as a student wants to bring. The Open House involves a lot of activities going on at the same time, so sometimes the prospective student can doing one thing while you and your freshman D can be doing something else. The phone number is 213-740-1286. It’s worth a try!

Thanks for the thoughts - the Explore Days don’t cover the Theatre program as well as the Open House will and for us, being in NY, nothing is one day, it’s always at least 2 days.

I called and they have no problem with us dragging our Freshman around - it’s she who’s the problem - she’s had enough touring for the future especially because her needs for college are very different than her older sisters’.

She’ll just have to get by one more time. All the other colleges my Senior is looking at won’t have both my husband and I going so this should be it until it really is her turn!
