Open House or Interview

I've done one college visit, and interviews are always highly reccomended. However, it takes a couple hours to drive to some of these colleges. Im planning on visiting Skidmore soon, but no interviews on open house. Should I do a normal tour/interview day or open house? Does the open house look as good?

You could always do alumni interviews.

Interviews actually depend on the school. For some they’re great, for others, go for it only if it won’t be a big inconvenience.

You can always do a phone interview.

add to what other have suggested, interview is one of those make it or break it thing. You should seriously prepare for it if you are going to do one. Do an in person interview if you can, because it adds a personal touch to the whole thing. The purpose of interview is to let the school learn more about you
