<p>Currently I'm choosing between Lehigh and Rutgers. If I go the OR route, I'll probably go to Rutgers. Industrial Engineering, and I'll go for Lehigh.</p>

<p>Which do you think is a better option? I heard OR majors get hired as "cheap IEs" out of college. However, with a MBA there's much more room for advancement. I'm looking to get a MBA in the future no matter what though.</p>

<p>Is the extra work of IE worth it? I want to have a life in college and pursue my other interests as well such as literature (not as a dual major, but I spend quite a few hours a week writing).</p>

<p>I’m not familiar with the programs at either of those schools, so I don’t know how much extra work IE would be. What kind of job do you see yourself doing once you graduate? That should guide your decision since some fields prefer OR while others IE. You’re probably right though that many OR people do IE work.</p>
