Opinion?

So I logged on earlier and my scores aren't in. I called up and asked why... and was given the standard answer of "a small percentage of the scores are delayed for additional processing" and that I would hear back with an update in 5-7 business days.

Here is why I'm concerned. I only took one subject test this time around. Like a moron, I accidentally filled out the bubbles on the second test's score sheet page. I didn't notice this mistake until it was time to hand in the test. When I pointed it out to the proctor, she said that she figured it would probably be okay. I asked if she thought I should just fill out a new answer sheet and transfer over the marks (of course, I wasn't given any additional time to fill out answers or look in the book). She said that that was probably a good idea, and I did it (thinking it was the lesser of two evils).

I scrawled fast and furious and handed in my corrected answer sheet. The proctor of course asked for the incorrectly completed answer sheet as well. Looking back, I probably should have either ripped it in half quickly or at least erased as much of my personal information as possible. But I just scribbled on the incorrect sheet and gave it to her to make sure she didn't confuse which was correct and which one wasn't.

Who knows what they did after that. I initially thought that she wouldn't submit both of them to CB, but now I'm not sure. If this makes someone at CB think I was cheating or something, I'm going to be upset. I figure that the proctor could probably back me up if it comes to that, but once again -- who knows. In any case, I don't have my score; and I'm nervous.

I suppose it's possible that I scored better on it than the last time I took it in January. I wasn't satisfied with that score since it was mediocre and I wasn't prepared that time around. But I can't imagine I did that much better this time (I got a 630 last time)... how much better would I need to do for that to be the reason I got flagged?

So if you guys were me, what would you be thinking at this point? Should I call them back in a few days or just wait for them to call me? How about also sending them an email? Thanks in advance.

Wait for them to contact you. After the five days, call again, ask for update, and explain your situation. If they give you an unsatisfactory answer, ask to speak to someone else. It seems like the people at CB are a little stupid :P

FYI, up to this point, I’ve avoided mentioning the details of my situation to CB. I figure that there is no reason getting into all of that just yet in case that has nothing to do with the delay. I only inquired as to why my score wasn’t online this morning.
