Opinions on Dorms at Chapel Hill

Hello everyone. I am a sophomore transfer student to UNC from a university in northern Ohio. I would really appreciate your opinions on the housing options I am considering at the moment.

Given that I don't feel I had a "first year experience" at my previous university, I want to live in or near the south campus area. Upon doing research, I learned that north campus tended to not be as social as south campus. As such, I have decided on these rankings for my housing app:

Morrison, Carmichael, Avery, Parker, Teague, Taylor.

Absolutely ANY opinions/comments are welcomed. If anyone can comment on the social life and advantages or disadvantages of living in these residences, I would be very thankful. The deadline for housing is this 15th, so please answer ASAP!! :)>-

You will be a sophomore? If yes, Morrison is typically a lot of Sophomores. Also it right next to RAMs head dining and the gym. All the dorms listed would be a great choice. Avery, Parker, Teague and Carmichael tend to have a lot of athletes if that is of interest to you.

Morrison is great because of its location. If you can snag a spot, I’d probably recommend living there.

If not, any of Parker, Avery, or Teague are great choices. I lived in Parker my sophomore year, and I really enjoyed it. It’s a good balance between social and quiet enough. It’s also a bit closer to main campus, which is what I really liked.
