optional essay... two essays read together?

<p>For my other apps my personal statement was two essays that i combined into one... i am thinking about splitting them again for the Yale app so i can use one as my supplemental one. I think they sound okay on their own, but they really are meant to complement one another... do you think that they read the two essays back to back... or will they read one and then go do something else? </p>

<p>I know that you guys probably don't have any idea of how they read it, but do you think it is okay to do this?</p>

<p>I was in the same situation. I had a huge personal statement, so I cut it into two and used one for common app, one for Yale supplement. They're about different topics, although they do complement each other and are written in the same style. I'm worried...ugh. So I guess you can either do what I did or use one of the original halves? Ehh... I dunno. This probably wasn't much help. I'm assuming they're read at the same time though (or at least I hope!!)</p>
