For three months, I worked 20 hours a week as an unpaid intern at a well-known institution. My supervisor knows me well and I’m confident he would write me an excellent letter. However, he’s only in his early 20s (a recent college grad) and, again, my internship was just 3 months long. Would the admissions committee view his letter as superfluous?
To give context, I’ve been deferred from a top-ten university, and I believe my required recs are already reasonably strong, but not exceptional.
