Do they really want a teacher recommendation, especially for out-of-state applicants?

I can certainly send one, but it'll involve calling my teacher on her holiday break and mailing her the forms..worth it?

hey i visited wm over the summer and they said the teacher recs are strictly optional... it could definitely help to have an amazing one but it wont hurt you not to have one

^^thanks! That's a total relief..

Do it. Hasn't the teacher filled out a recommendation for any of your other applications? If so, he/she would just need to print another one off and send it in. Also, colleges tend to be a little more flexible with the deadlines for recommendations and transcripts. If you can have your counselor send it off with a phone call to the school apologizing for the delay, you can usually get away with a slightly late recommendation.
