Options of Changing Commitment due to Recent Vaccine Req

That could be true, and that is exactly my point.

That is what college research is all about - finding the right fit. There are many reasons why someone will not consider a school and that is your choice. I am thrilled that my kids schools are requiring the vaccine this fall as I would not want them in dorms or dining halls without the mandate.

Your “children” sound like very smart people who will be capable of making their own independent decisions about their college options and about their health and wellbeing after they turn 18, if they haven’t already.

The vaccines can’t give you COVID-19. Vaccines do not contain SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19. And the spike protein itself can’t shed.

“Spike protein is primarily made locally in muscle where the vaccine is administered and may possibly be seen in low levels in the blood," says Dr. Lawler. "But it should not be shed in significant quantity in respiratory or other secretions.”

If someone has tested positive for COVID-19, though, they are shedding virus, including the spike protein, and contagious. “We know that people with COVID-19 shed large amounts of virus from respiratory secretions,” says Dr. Lawler.

If your children are totally unvaccinated, they shouldn’t be around many people at all. They could be exposed to measles, mumps, flu, cold all the time. They may have been in a protected environment in high school if all the other students and staff were vaccined, but covid is new and we don’t even know if vaccinated people can spread it.

Even if a school doesn’t require students and staff to be vaccinated, huge numbers from those schools may opt to be vaccinated anyway. I’ll bet that some of the smaller LAC will have close to 100% compliance - voluntarily. It was just 3-4 months ago that students were driving across state lines to stand in long line to get vaccines, schools were volunteering to be vaccination sites, that students were desperate to get vaccinations so they could go on spring break.

Your children could pick a school where everyone wants the vaccine, even if not required.

The whole premise of this post is contradictory and unsubstantiated. The OP has made nonsensical statements and has repeatedly stated false information. The focus of this post seems to rest solely on a bizarre claim that vaccinated people give covid to others, thus putting her medically fragile children at risk.

CC is not a platform for deliberate attempts to spread false information.
Closing.
