OPUS Changes

oh wow, i was accepted as emory scholars semifinalist, but never bothered to look at OPUS or anything else. i guess i need to go find that packet and try it....

Time to bring this thread back to life, haha.. sorry if anybody is annoyed. But do you think it's too soon to start looking for OPUS changes for RD? Or, as some other people said, did the tech people figure out all the kinks?

Can someone explain to me how the OPUS changes work? I have my password and can log on and everything, but what do you mean, CHANGES? Like, what specifically changes? Any insight would be greatly appreciated... oh, and is it time to start checking? Are we supposed to hear from Emory April 1st? Thanks :)

Ok so I went onto Emory blackboard and they have assigned me a student ID and a email @emory.edu. Does this mean I am in or do they do this for all applicants?

^ That's great! It's not working for me though.. did you go to this website?

https://classes.emory.edu/webapps/login

Maybe they haven't updated all the student's info yet? I hope that's the case :(

This sucks, now I'm really worried.. can anybody else do it? Also, geniusgen, can you post your stats? And did anybody get in who wasn't able to login through blackboard? ARRGHHHH (freaking out)

yeah I used that site but dont freak out because I think it is also used for Oxford where I applied also and that is why it is working.

Ahh, okay. Haha, I'm starting to ease up on my breathing. I think if you can login, that is definite assurance of your acceptance - why else would htey assign an @emory.edu email? Congratulations! :)

Can anybody login who applied to Emory? Actually... don't answer that... I don't want to know.. but I do.. you can imagine the battle I'm having with myself here XD.

Wait... so if I tried to login to the blackboard thing with my OPUS info and it didn't work, DOES THIS MEAN I WAS REJECTED? Anyone?

ahh...

on my to do list, it saids i need to send proof of citizenship to the financial aid office. i don't know how long it's been there though. anybody else have this?

wait so how does this blackboard thing work? because it is not letting me log in with my opus id...and opus isn't updated...ahh i am worried now

geniusgen applied to Oxford College within Emory, and hers worked. I applied to Emory and mine didn't work.. I don't think anybody's is working yet (if it does even begin to work). I would presume that Oxford as a smaller school so probably finished reviewing apps earlier.. anyway. Keep in mind that this thread is a few months old (leftover from the EDII threads), and I just brought it bck to life for new speculation.

that makes sense...fjchowdhury, i see you on practically every school forum that i applied to. where did you apply?

yeah fjchowdhury, I think that is exactly it. I checked with a few friends and all my friends who applied to Oxford can get in but those who just applied to Emory cannot (and some of them HAVE to get in!)

my opus just updated in regards to an EmoryCard and something else about receiving printed bills. has this been the case for anyone else?

DebaterChels, that's hilarious. I'm guessing we applied to some of the same schools? Lol, I applied to a lot.. WashU, Emory, Vanderbilt Cornell, Hopkins, Penn, UVA are the CC-qualified schools I applied to.

dcl, when you say updated, do you mean that it became a link or that its just text that says NEW! next to it? because the latter is on everybody's whereas a new blue link in place of that text would be a great sign!

Hmm, chowdhury, we are the same on emory, penn, and uva...i guess i have just been on emory and uva too much lately, haha. which school at penn?

where does it say EmoryCard? I can't find it or the thing that says NEW.

Nevermind, I found it and it just says NEW

Yeah I see that stuff too, does that mean we got in?
