Does anybody here go there? Thinking of transferring from Pasadena City College to OCC cause OCC is down the street from work lol. How hard is it to get classes as a new student? How do you like the school? etc. any information would be great, thanks!

I’m going to start there in the fall!@

decided to go with IVC cause more classes were available…which is bit further from work but still pretty close good luck with occ!

OCC is ranked higher in transfers to UCI and UCLA. Plus, they give priority registration to athletes and honor students so if you plan on participating on one or both of those programs you should definitely take advantage of it.

@EndPhase IVC has highest transfer rate in Orange County and #3 in california. They to give priority registration to athletes and honor students.

@MAXsays That is not true, OCC has higher transfer rates to not only UCI/UCLA but to many 4 year universities which puts them at #1 in Orange County. You were most likely looking at an outdated source, as OCC is indeed higher ranked than IVC.

They’re both good. Which is better for an individual student depends on a variety of factors (availability of classes that interest you, availability of classes in general, where you want to transfer). IVC has the same policy about honors students and athletes - it seems to be pretty universal.

scc is prob the most under rated cc in the oc.
