Order of Opening Emails

Hi guys!

What order do you suspect you'll be opening your emails on Mar. 27?

I think I'll go from most likely to get admitted to least.

Thought about the inverse as well.

Any other strategies/personal ideas?

Which of the Ivy League schools send the decisions through e-mail? If you know off hand, could you post because that would help a lot? I think I’ll go most likely to least, starting with the schools that sent me likely letters.

I’m going for least likely to most likely.

Harvard is one of the few using email. I’m going from most to least so that I can hopefully check the harder ones with a good attitude… maybe.

Most recent to least recent, since that’s how they’ll be ordered in my inbox. I doubt I’ll be able to wait the several seconds it’d take to pick out the emails and decide what order to open them in.

@literalanimal AFAIK, Harvard is the only Ivy that sends the admissions via email.

Also, I plan on checking the portals in the order that I put them into my bookmark folder :P

@tomwantssnow Okay, thanks.

I’m going from most likely to the least likely. The only thing is three schools I’m hearing from are “equally” least likely. Maybe I gotta open three tabs and do check them at the same time.

Princeton first cause it’s my dream, and I don’t want to get rejected by all the Ivies and then still receive the crushing blow of a Princeton rejection. :P

I am going from least likely to most likely with my first choice at the end. I honestly do not have the guts to check my first choice first. I want to stay in denial as long as possible…

Columbia sends decisions through email.

Columbia uses its own decision portal.

After many thoughts, I think I’m just gonna go for an alphabetical order.

I think I’m going to open all the portals in different tabs at 4:57 (2:57 where I’m from) and type in all my log in information.

At 4:59, I shall be done with typing in my information, and during the 1 minute interval, I will fetch the ShamWow I procured the day before. Then, I will log into the portals (in the order that I opened the tabs in.)

And then. THEN. I will lie down in a corner, place the ShamWow over my eyes, and proceed to cry.

I graduated last year but I would go from least likely to most likely. Build up some positive momentum before I hit the heavyweights!

1) Harvard - Because I’m pretty sure they did not get my supplementary materials, presumed rejection (that were pretty important)
2) Dartmouth - More likely than Princeton
3) Princeton - Rejected

I’m doing random integer lmaooo, gonna assign each college a number and randomly pick…8 decisions that day…too nervous
