<p>Depends on the school and the program. Even if they award you chemistry, I wouldn't take orgo right away as it's a work intensive course and you should get acclimated to college with typical freshman courses.</p>

<p>^ yeah, but a HSer that's "strong" in chemistry could mean any number of things. chemE in general owns people (including the chem engineers), but I think was jmilton is saying is that it'll require an especial (unprecedented) knack for it.</p>
