Orgo 2

For Organic Chemistry 2,
Enholm, Reynolds, or Schantl?
Easier exams/curves?
Thanks in advance.

I heard Enholm is tough.

Ha I was going to pick Enholm too, thank god I saw this first. So who would you suggest? Reynolds or Schantl? What about the lab? Is Davidson good?

I have no idea, since I just transfered in. I’m taking Keaffaber for Summer B, and it’s been tough so far, but it’s Summer B. But Enholm is even worse than Keaffaber I’ve heard. Honestly, Orgo 2 is a brutal subject no matter who you take it with, so it’s gonna be tough to find a “good” orgo teacher.

Very true! I’m dreading it!

Grade distribution history in orgo 2 according to My Edu/Pick a Prof:
Enholm: 25% A’s, 55% B’s, 14% C’s, 4% D’s, 2% F’s
Reynolds: 18% A’s, 31% B’s, 31% C’s, 15% D’s, 6% F’s
Schantl: 11% A’s. 14% B’s, 17% C’s, 22% D’s, 35% F’s

Don’t know anything about their teaching styles or exams, but here’s this info if it will help.

Thanks alot! Looks like Enholm is better with grades. Is that a site you found it on?

I didn’t have a problem with Enholm. He wasn’t really hard, however there were some people that didn’t do well…maybe it was the fast pace of the course over summer. He does emphasis carbohydrate chemistry a lot more than other teachers did.

Seems like there are mixed reviews on RMP: [Eric Enholm - University of Florida - RateMyProfessors.com](<a href=“Eric Enholm at University of Florida | Rate My Professors”>Eric Enholm at University of Florida | Rate My Professors)

My Edu/Pickaprof grade distribution is opposite of what people said on ratemyprofessors.com

Idk I mean My Edu supposedly gets grade information directly from the university, so I’m inclined to believe it. Unless Enholm completely changed his tests and grading system recently.

Just because he gives more A’s doesn’t mean he’s necessarily a great orgo prof, so definitely check out ratemyprofessors and whatever else because it’s probably more useful.

Is the grade distribution from 2009?

I’m pretty sure it’s an average from the past couple semesters he’s taught, so if he did change his tests or grading recently it might not be reflected in the grade distribution info.
