orientation 109 :( possible schedule? (physics major)

I'll probably be taking math32a, but both of the other possible lower division courses for my major, physics 1a and chem20a, are filling up quickly. I really want to take 20ah cause prof. lin sounds amazing

I guess if both of those are full, I could take art & arc 10 (winter), and mcd bio 40 (meyer? how is this class?)... or maybe I'll just suck it up and take 20a with scerri/neuhauser and take history of opera lol

I feel like I already ruined stuff by not signing up for orientation the day/hour it came out, because of the long sequences of physics classes and chem20ah only being available in the fall. Lesson learned there...

People will drop Lin's class quickly... you'll manage to get in the first week (for at least 20A). Email Lin (UCLA Directory) and tell him about your interest. Either way, people will drop (20A or 20AH) and I'm sure he'll be receptive to your request - he's just htat nice.

History of Opera is fantastic. I took it with Paulin and since then I've gone to two operas and still listen to Romantic opera.

I don't think you should take MCD Bio 40 unless you express a LOT of interest. Don't you already have a Life Science mandate as a physics major? Whatever.

Lin is awesome. Period.

oh cool, ya Lin already sent an e-mail replying to other students, and he sounds really nice
I think I'll reply asking him about the waitlist

I somehow got classes that I'm interested in, though. my OC said that the math department sent e-mails saying that everyone would get in for math classes, and someone else told me something similar about chem
math 32a (waitlist #1)
chem 20ah (waitlist #4)
social justice cluster

that sounds good, I might take history of opera another quarter

thx much, sorry I didn't see your replies until now!
