Just a question for anyone currently attending UDel or knows anyone attending. My family is trying to book a vacation for the summer, but I really don’t want to miss orientation. We contacted admissions and they said Orientation Days could take play anytime between June 21st and July 21st. They said they won’t have specific dates for each major until mid-March to mid-April and we will have to book our flights before then. Does anyone know if there is usually more than one date for each major? Does each orientation last one day or two? Is there a make-up day? And when have they released the dates in the past? Also, if anyone knows roughly when the nursing orientation days has been in the past that would be really helpful! Thanks!
I am currently a freshman at UD. I am not a nursing student so I don’t have any knowledge about when the nursing major orientation will me. Personally, I had at least ten different options of days for my orientation.
During the orientation, the orientation leader takes you and your group around the school and does different ice breakers and activities. This has nothing to do with your major. But later, you have a meeting with the head of the department for your program and you meet with an advisor to make your schedule. If you are not able to attend the nursing major orientation, I would recommend calling the nursing advising office to see if you could schedule a different day to meet with him/her to make your schedule, since this is very important and probably the only important part of the orientation.
@alirae17 Thank-you so much! Did it seem like everyone had mutiple days to choose from?
