<p>Does anyone know the dates for orientation yet? I need to plan ahead. D will go to preview most likely with friends, but will "allow"(wink) me to accompany her for orientation. She hasn't been able to register yet or find dates. Thanks.</p>

<p>"allow" lol, honestly during orientation everyone comes with there parents but you barely see them throughout the two day period...dates probably haven't been confirmed but im positive you'll have a choice of about 10 dates during the month of june or may.</p>
<p>Parents go to family orientation which is mostly separate from what the students are doing. The students can stay in the dorm and meet other freshmen (was Salley).</p>
<p>I know, I know; she is just anxious to fly solo. She is a really good sport about it all. She knows that parents can and do come. It was really mostly tongue in cheek. One day its "I can do this myself" and others its " your ARE coming, right mom!"</p>
<p>And the office of Orientation indicates that for summer, the orientation dates will be mostly May, and the exact dates with be available on or soon after Dec 14, with different majors having a different focus on different days.</p>
