I know that during orientation students eat with their group leader. However, do we move with our parents before and after lunch though?

I have my orientation next week. So, any past experiences would be great.

After the morning group introduction, you will not meet up with your parents until late afternoon (4-5pm) and then only to transfer stuff for spending the night in the dorm. Since you have indicated you will not be staying in the dorm, you will be “done” for the day around 4-5pm until the next day. Atleast that is how it worked in previous years

When will i be done the second day? I think I just register for classes, pick up id, software etc. and just leave? So, I assume around 11ish AM?

Depends on what time your group is assigned to meet with the advisor. The time and place will be given to you on the first day. It is a group advising session where they go over the basics of how to use the system, etc. and then let you loose on the computers and the advisor is there to ask any questions. Once you are done, you leave and then have time with your family to do the remaining items, if applicable. This was 3 years ago, so it may have changed some.

My daughter will stay for the Honors Program presentation at 1:00 (though it is also given at 11:00 and 12:00) and a tour of West Ambler Johnston, which is her dorm, from 2:15 - 3:30. But I think other presentations are done before that time, so most families will be free to leave in the early afternoon. At this link, you can see a list of things on the schedule, but it is not very helpful about the timing.
