<p>There's ample time to buy most of your books through sites like half.com, etc. We saved a lot of money. Occasionally the professor will want a specific edition so be careful.</p>
<p>You get the isbn # and use that to get the right edition.</p>
<p>I've taken CH101/102 and PY211 which are all lab science classes and the lab instructor has always just been a random grad student in the department. Chances are, whatever the schedule says online, isn't really true as far as the lab sections of the course are concerned.</p>
<p>Lab sections in big classes are going to be that way. I had a TA in Chemistry whose grasp of English was . . . well, he was absolutely incomprehensible. Another TA called one of my friends, told he she had failed a quiz, offered her extra help and then attacked her. Ivy League education.</p>
