<p>you have to have orientation to register
the sooner the better because classes fill up fast
i had orientation in late august and i got got stuck with a freshman interest group with the worst calculus professor in the school</p>
<p>so i would say as soon as possible is best</p>
<p>orientation is a joke though, its not necessary. if you can find a way to check in then leave, i would.</p>
<p>i signed up for the last one which is on 9/11 and 9/12 because i'll be gone all summer.</p>
<p>if i don't get the subject i want in the first place, i think i'll just go for other unimportant but required classes.</p>
<p>Yeah, I had to sign up for the 9/11-9/12 one also because I'm coming from the East Coast. SO afraid that I'll be stuck in really bad classes :[</p>
<p>UW was like "If you can't easily make it to WA, we have satellite sites in Hawaii and Cali to take the placement exams." Yeah, that helps!</p>
