orrientation/welcome week?

Hi, just wondering if you new TU students wouldn't mind giving us 09 parents a rundown of your experiences in you first week at TU. It would be very helpful and hopefully a little entertaining. My DDs are both applying EA and the more info they can get the better. Thanks in advance!

Hey historymom. Yeah orientation is next week and I pretty excited! I'll try to post my orientation experience. I still need to get a laptop for college, so when I post depends on time and when I get the laptop.

Thanks Dan we look forward to reading your post.

You might want to contact annak, FAIZAn ZUVAIR, or Purushottam to get a wider perspective. They are Trinity U 2012s, but I think they haven't checked CC ever since they finished applying.

You might want to check out this site: The Dean's List . It's a website by Trinity's dean where he highlights all current events going on around campus.

We just got back on Sunday from the orientation and student move in at Trinity. My daugther is class of 2012. We had a great experience. We arrived at our dorm at about 9:15 and waited about 10 minutes to get to the entrance to the dorm where we were greated by about 30 students and faculty members who swarmed our car and took everything inside to my daughters room. My d had met her roommate and suite mates via facebook but was anxious to meet them in person. Her roommate is an international student, one suite mate is from out of state and another is from Texas as is my d. They all seem to be hitting it off very well. The events my d has attended have been "awesome" to quote her. They do an event called playfair where all the incoming students go to the gym and a facilitator leads them in team activities so that they can meet a whole lot of people in a short time. She has already met with her advisor twice and her advisor was in attendance today when she registered for her classes. They seem to have a great support system and they immediately made us feel part of the Trinity family.

Texas 2008, Thanks so much. The community askpect of TU is a big selling point. Please feel free to check in as your D's first year unfolds. My girls are applying EA...if they get a move on :)

Hope all of you in the class of 2012 enjoy TU as much as my D from 2011 does. Glood luck and have fun.
