OSU admission chance

I’m applying to OSU this fall.
I moved from another country just a year ago, and most of my grades are from that country and they are pretty low because that country has super rigorous schoolwork. However, I was in the honors class which only top 20 students of the class body gets in (class body size was little more than 350) and I did put it in the activities section in my common app.
I have cumulative 3.16 GPA. I got 3.9 GPA last semester from the school I go in US right now and its class size is more than 960.
I have 29 ACT. I do math tutoring in school and at the local library. I do several other volunteering and I have one work experience as well. I have an experience of international exchange homestay program, and I volunteered in adoptee camp as a translator this summer.

I’m not sure if I will get in, can somebody help me?

Are you in state? That will increase your chances.

Yes I am in state!!

Almost everyone gets into Ohio State, the question is whether you will be admitted to the Columbus campus as a freshman. Always list an alternate campus as your second choice so you can be automatically considered for merit and financial aid at the other locations. Have you run the net price calculators for the different campus locations? Sometimes attending and dorming at a branch can be cheaper than commuting from home to the Columbus branch and is definitely cheaper than enrolling and dorming at Columbus.

Lima, Mansfield and Newark have dorms, Newark’s dorms are new this year. Marion has a private students only housing complex within walking distance.

Also, make sure Ohio State actually considers you an in state student for tuition purposes. The international tuition rates are much more.

“International students
International students must have the legal status to permanently remain in the United States before they can be
considered an Ohio resident for tuition purposes.  Students must either have a Permanent Resident Alien Card or the I‐
551 stamp on their Visa or one of the following Visa Types: A, E, G, H, I, L, O, P, R TC, TD, TN, U, V, Political Asylee, or
Political Refugee.  Individuals with a Visa Type of B, F, J, K, or M are not eligible to apply for Ohio Residency for Tuition
Purposes.
Persons with the visa type F2 must show dependency on a parent or spouse who is an Ohio resident to be
considered eligible for in‐state residency.”

Oh, I don’t need to worry about international tuition because I am a green card holder.
