I’m currently in my first semester at community college with a 3.4 gpa. I will be taking classes during the spring and summer here as well. I’m looking to have 45 credit hours by next fall, which is when I want to transfer to a university for Mechanical Engineering. I made sure to stay active in extra curricular activities and build relationships with professors here. The university I’m really hoping for acceptance in is Ohio State, but the problem is my lack of highschool performance. My act was 22, sat 1060, and gpa around 2.0 (I never saw my final transcript, so I’m not sure exactly. But it is low). I’m afraid my highschool gpa will keep me from transfering next fall because apps are due during the spring semester.
What are your opinions on getting in for the fall semester?
If it helps anyone I was accepted to Ohio State and Miami Oxford… both the main campuses. I received 30 credits at my community college before applying.
