Hi all
Any one have an opinion of OU's computer science or computer engineering Departments?
My son is looking at OU, OSU and UC.
He is also interested in the marching band. He enjoys band but he is not a music major he just likes the family of band and wants to participate (to help socially). He is not so sure he can get in the OSU band but thinks from friends he could get in OU and UC. He likes the idea of coops at UC, the academics at OSU and band at OU. Any help would be great.
He received a 31 on act and has a 3.6 at a high rigor school He received bronze, silver and gold presidential awards for volunteering.
Thanks David

What are OU, OSU, and UC?

Ohio? Oregon? Ohio State? Oklahoma? Oklahoma State? UColorado? UCalifornia (if so, which one?) ???

Are you instate for these schools?

Can you pay full freight?

Oops
I am getting a little initial happy. I do the the same thing with computer science, cs, cps, ce blah blah. We are in state (Ohio) We will pay what it Takes.
Thanks David

UC offers great programs in both majors he is interested in.
The co-op experience is a big plus in my opinion–makes school last a year longer, but students earn some $ while on coop, can interview for out-of-Ohio coop jobs to see other cities in the US and abroad, and are much more marketable on graduation, as they essentially have 1.5 years of job experience in their field.

I don’t know about the band, though–how hard/easy it is to get in.

^ Good summary for UC.
