What are my chances of getting accepted to The Ohio State University as a TRANSFER student? (main campus) I am currently attending a 4 year university as a freshman and will be a sophomore If I transfer next fall. I’ve read online they have a min requirement of 2.0 and they review high school credentials as well…and admit 85% of transfer applicants.

High School GPA: 2.6
ACT Score: 23
Current Semester (1) College GPA: 2.19
Next Semester (2) (lets just say 4.0 for now) GPA: 4.0

From what i hear, the only way you will have a good chance of getting in is if you get that 4.0 gpa next semester. Meaning it will average your GPA to a 3.095. The lowest i have heard of for transfer admission was a 2.5 GPA but that was about 3 years ago.

Recently, my buddy got in with a 3.0 GPA though transferring from Mount Union. You have to be specific though, how hard are your classes? Is your major decided? If so, what is your major?

Im sure if your an engineer over an undecided major, you should have a better chance of getting in based on schedule toughness.

Hope i could help, gl man and hopefully get a high GPA. Work hard!

I’d say your admission is guaranteed. The only way to get rejected as a transfer is to have a criminal record or something. So if you’re not a child molester, I’d say you’re good to go.

I am also wondering what are my chances of getting into osu. I am a sophomore now with a gpa of 3.8 majoring in Biology at a 4year university and im a oos. My application is under evaluation. Hoping to get in!!
