I was accepted to both Ohio State University and Michigan State University a few weeks ago. I was dead set on attending MSU because I'm a Michigan resident, and the cost of college is the limiting factor. However, I just received a letter in the mail informing me that I have been awarded the National Buckeye Scholarship, which translates to $8,700 per year. I realize OSU is still more money than MSU even with the scholarship, but is the degree worth the extra couple grand per year?

It’s not necessarily worth that much more, but the difference is close enough to consider attending tOSU if you like it more than MSU. Oh Sparkeye, where are you?

Hallaron93 - Based on my experience and having lived in both OH and MI, I would look at the programs or majors as both schools have their strengths. If it were a toss-up, I would lean towards OSU. If it were OSU and UM, however, I would lean towards UM. In any event, you will get an excellent education at either school. Good luck and congrats on the OSU Scholarship Our S has been accepted at OSU in the Honors program and he is now trying to make a decision as well.
