OSU vs UW

I want to go into Electrical/Computer Engineering. I would like to stay on the west coast, so UW and OSU appear as good options. My question is, is UW much better than OSU and is it worth paying way more than I would at OSU? Would I make any more money with a degree from UW?

I live in Oregon, so I can get in state tuition at OSU.

Thanks

UW isn’t worth out-of-state tuition. Go to OSU, their EE department is ABET-accredited and that’s all that really matters with undergrad engineering.

There will be no difference in the money made between two grads from both schools who start at the same company.

For EE, I’d say go with OSU, unless you want to get involved with research (e.g. for a career in research), then I’d say UW is a better bet.

UW is a much better EE/CE/CS school than Oregon State. Washington is one of the best for EE/CE/CS. But I don’t think it will make a difference for your salary.
