<p>mom2collegekids - Actually, I qualified for both, which explains it I guess. That’s right - at the time I didn’t know I was going to be NMF (assumed I wasn’t) so I needed that 3.5 W. NMF has those few extra perks you mention, so I intended to take that one if I didn’t get in anywhere else.</p>

<p>What they told me was that they just take the highest GPA on the transcript. Not sure how accurate that is though.</p>

<p>It seems to be pretty common for students to have high ACT/SAT w/o high GPA, especially with tough courses. If the grades go down in successive years, it sometimes mans the bright student has been “winging it” before but gets challenged by intense work and mulitplexing.</p>
