Other than a Saturday?

Is it possible to take the ACT other than a Saturday? Not through High Schools, but in general?

Currently a frosh college student.

No...Why would you?

I believe there IS a Sunday test date, but it's for religious students only.

Observe Shabbat! Take your Standardized Tests on Sunday!

Kids with learning disabilities that cannot be properly accomodated at a National Testing Center can have arranged testing from the Monday after to a few days (Friday, I believe).

Otherwise, you have to kill a Saturday.

I have school Saturday mornings. Think they might make an exception for poor old little me?

Sorry, MannyS. Religious reasons only.

Is non-Saturday testing available?

Non-Saturday testing is available only in remote areas or for students who cannot test on Saturday because of religious convictions. If there is a test center within 50 miles of your home for any test date, you should plan to register for that date and request that center. If you try to test standby (in the U.S. or Canada only) or make a test center change to a Sunday or Monday test center, you must bring a letter from your cleric or a notarized statement to verify your religious beliefs prohibit Saturday testing.

Unless you convert to a different religion, you're out of luck, sorry :(

I actually made my own religion.

ACLU, BABAY!!!!!!!!!

ditching one Saturday morning of class for ACT shouldn't be a problem.

I all ready did it for Sept. 15 :(

Just move to Illinois, enroll in a high school, and take it on a Wednsday in April for the PSAE's. No big deal.

you can test on sunday but you probably have to be jewish or seventh-day adventist, which i am.
and its not neccesarily in a remote place b/c im taking mine at the private school about 15 min from my house or at my church(there's a private school there)

It's not sufficient to be Jewish. You also need a letter from a rabbi that affirms that, because of your observance of the Jewish Sabbath, you are unable to test on Saturdays.

As long as you register in advance, you do not need a letter from your clergy. You can just sign up for Sunday, no questions asked. I am pretty sure Sunday test centers are listed on the website.

If you try to test standby on Sunday--because you overslept Saturday morning, for example--you need a letter.

Is that a change in policy, Mrs. F? Last year when my son registered to take the ACT on Saturday, he was instructed by his college counselor to register on paper and to mail a letter from clergy with his registration materials. That is still the policy at his school this year, and I'd like to correct the record if our students are taking unnecessary measures to test on Sundays.

Screw USY, BBYO all the way.
