Ouch to some...

Okay, i'm having a debacle about what i want to submit.

I've taken my ACT twice so far, and am taking it again in September.
The first time i got a 29, and the second i got a 30.
But my writing for the first one was 35, and English 33,
While on the second one, it was 33 writing, and 30 English.
My math and science scores obviously went up with the second one, but i plan on majoring in writing- and my top choice school is a small liberal arts college(Emerson) that seems to care more about your talents matching your major.

So should i submit both? Just the 30? And assuming i do better on the September one, do i submit them all?

And for AP tests;

Okay, this is rough. My sophmore year i took Econ and US gov, and got 1's on both of them
I was sick, didn't really put effort in, yadda yadda yadda.
My junior year, i took APUS and got a 4. Not good, but better than the atrocious 1's.
I know that you have to submit them all together; is it worth submitting at all?
And this year i'm taking AP Comp Sci, Lit/Comp, Latin, Psych, and Enviro. Sci....
I have no idea how i'll do on any of them, especially considering i don't even know what Comp. Sci IS.
But what would my worst case/best case scenario be?

Hah, okay- final one.
I took my SAT, and did poorly- Like, 1880? i think?
I'm not planning on retaking it.
But i took SATII for Lit, and got a 720, which i plan on submitting.
Is it ominous to only submit one SATII and not an SAT? Should i take more SATIIs or retake the SAT, or submit my horrid SAT scores?

Gah- a lot. Thank you, all!

i probably couldn't advise you on whether or not you want to submit your AP test scores, but for your SATs and SAT IIs, you don't have a choice, you have to submit BOTH or none of them. For the ACTs, my scores were like yours, and I just submitted both (I had a 35 in reading too; for my composites I got 29, 32, and 33, and I submitted my top two test scores)

Do not send an AP score report to any college that you are applying to in the US. Self-report them on the apps and then send the report to the school that you eventually matriculate at. The nice thing about self-reporting is that you can choose what you report....

If colleges see you took Econ and Gov AP but didn't submit scores, they will assume the worst AND know that you are ashamed or trying to withold information.

there are quite a few people who take the class without taking the test. that could be one impression of many, though.

AP's aren't usually submitted as part of an application (you self-report), they are submitted once you are admitted to try to get credit for them.

Thank you!
Yeah, i'm starting to double-check applications and realize that,
and it also occured to me that by the time i take the AP tests for this year, i'll already be admitted/for-sure-going to where ever i end up. So heh.

Thanks, everyone!
