Ouch!

Did anyone notice the election results in the Daily Gazette?

A student ran unopposed for the Appointments Committee and lost!

Appointments Chair

None of the Above-332 votes
Ethan Ucker '07-315 votes
No Preference-125 votes

Yes, I saw the election results. I also thought it odd that so many of the kids running got only one or two votes. It's hard to believe that those kids were so inappropriate for the job that nobody, literally nobody besides themselves, voted for them.

What surprised me is that only ~733 people voted. Out of like...1400.

The one or two vote kids were write-ins.

The exact same thing happened at my school for a student council position. Not to be insensitive, but it was hilarious.

They are having a special election. The only difference being the guy voted out cannot run.

Oh! Thanks for the info re the write-in candidates. Now I don't have to spend the weekend writing in vicarious emotional pain. I really did feel bad for them and now I don't have to! Thanks again.

maybe the fact that ethan ucker's campaign flyers all said "vote for none of the above" had something to do with it.

Sorry to searchingavalon, but that is funny "vote for none of the above" :)

There was a campaign to knock him out via none-of-the-above.
