However, the twice mentioned (one in the Duke section and once in Princeton’s) myth regarding a Duke - Princeton connection has been thoroughly debunked many years ago. - thank you for clarifying this. What we heard during the Princeton tour is that the Duke's Gothic campus is in fact modeled generally around the look of Princeton's - influenced by the Duke's opinion to render Duke's campus Gothic in style. They did say that it was probably untrue that the idea that Duke offered money to Princeton to change it's name is probably not true; but that there was no proof for or against this story.

Yale is one of my favorite campuses. The funny thing is if you look at the cornerstones of many of the old Gothic buildings, they say 1975, 1979, 1980…
