@ucbalumnus I poked around in the source code and found the custom theme, which is copyrighted by a specific designer at Vanilla. I could still be wrong, of course, just enjoying some amateur sleuthing 
Of course, if the forum site owners outsourced the reskin to Vanilla Forums or specific people at Vanilla Forums, they still had to have given a general idea of what they wanted the web page designers to make, and approved the result before it went live.
Bold type should be the default.

** Ya, the activity page is a riot - with the same people getting acknoweldged for 4, 5, and 6 years! I get a kick out of the “Most Helpful in this Category” which I seem to run into randomly on the right side of certain pages with no reference to which “Category” those “Most Helpful” are actually most helpful. And I’m with @thumper1 on those kind of lists - ick!
Back to my porch, but I do love this thread. It seems to be the last bastion for the regulars, at least, that I have found. **

My question is why don’t they keep the old format and just add photo/pdf/attachement support? Was it discussed in prior post?

So you are supposed to push/link to those generic articles? Or those the articles in the database? As a volunteer? For some reason this surprises me a bit (although I don’t know why; nothing should really surprise me any more with the administration of this site). So you are supposed to contribute to the (rapidly) increasing uselessness of this site?
