So it's DD's turn to be waiting and wondering. She submitted her app at the beginning of Sept., and gave the counselor form to her GC a couple of weeks ago. (She was out of school a couple of weeks with mono so didn't get the form to him right away.) Assuming he sent it in that week, how long does it usually take before the status is changed on the website, and how long is it currently taking for a decision? The concerning part is we know they have her SAT scores, but it still reminds her to send them. I did call the admissions dept and confirmed the receipt.

She's in state with scores above the well above the 75%ile so we feel pretty confident about an acceptance, but it is a bit frustrating not to see the website updated. It would be nice for her to have her first acceptance.

IU admissions told us that due to the quantity of applications coming in right now, it would be 12 to 14 days from the date they receive the information from the guidance counselor before the status would be updated online. I would email the counselor and find out what day it was actually sent ( my daughter was checking her admission status everyday only to discover that her counselor took 25 days to send in her form and transcript!!!!).

Forgot to add that, at least in September, it was not taking long for a decision to be sent out. DD's best friend had an mailed acceptance less than 3 weeks after submitting application.

Also, if it says that they don't have the SAT scores, have them resent. They do lose or misplace things with over 38,000 students--and you don't want to be delayed because these aren't in the file.

Update-website today finally shows DD's application as complete AND she has been admitted. Hooray! Counselor's form and transcript would have arrived at IU on the 29th at the earliest. Website indicated 2 to 4 weeks for admission package to arrive via USPS.

Congrats hoosiermom--- It must be the day for good news. Our D's forms probably arrived a few days earlier than yours, BUT her application shows the same thing. Yeah!!!
I can't wait until she gets home tonight so I can casually suggest she check out the website. We were pretty confident about her admittance, but it's still nice to have the confirmation.

Same here. I really don't want her to know I knew before she knew so I hope she just checks on her own. We are expecting the automatic scholarship based on stats but the website didn't mention anything about it.

Same here hoosiermom--I think that comes with the letter based on posts last year. Invitations for honors come at that time also I think. If your D is a Kelley student direct admits comes later (mine is not).
