Based on http://www.jhu.edu/hds/oncampus/PDF/HDSCalendar20092010.pdf, it appears some girls will be living at the Hopkins Inn (Baltimore, Maryland Hotels - Hopkins Inn at Johns Hopkins University Homewood Campus, Urban Inn). I am curious what the rate is. Anyone know?

I wasn’t aware that there was overflow housing… I’ve never known anybody to stay there (though it could just be me). I would imagine that it wouldn’t be TOO many.

Side story: my mom and I stayed there a couple nights before I moved into my dorm, and there are no elevators. Which was quite the shock for us, seeing as how I had four suitcases (from California) and a taxi’s worth of new stuff from Target. I think we were on the third floor. Just so you know! :)

They’ve used Hopkins Inn in the past when they had the same overflow problem (my freshmen year, 2005-2006), but I’m not sure of the rate.

Also, FYI, none of the dorms on the freshmen quad (Buildings A and B, AMR I and AMR II) have elevators. I believe the rule is (though this may just be urban legend) that buildings 3 stories and under don’t need elevators, so all those building are 3 stories + basement (they’re labeled 1-4 in Buildings A and B, but entry is on level 2)

Wow, they overflowed into McCoy too! (usually only for upperclassmen but similar to Wolman).

This year? Could this justify me not having to live “on campus” if there’s gonna be kids running around?

Just playin…

…

I requested to be housed at the Hopkins Inn!! Too bad we don’t find out housing assignments until the second week of August. (■■■. I’m dying of anticipation.)

Rogers House too! Dannggg!!!

What is Rogers House?
btw, Hopkins Inn will be co-ed.

The Inn is coed? Roger’s House is a building near the corner of Greenway and St. Paul. It used to be housing for one of the sororities.
