Out of curiosity...

... how many of you who are applying MIT EA would have applied to either Harvard or Princeton ED/EA if they still had those policies?

Not I. I mean, I like Princeton a lot, but certainly not to the degree where I'd apply ED.

That, and I liked the ability to apply to a bunch of schools. Hypothetically, I could have 4 acceptances by Christmas (hypothetically being the key word). Seriously, a likely Harvard deferral versus that possibility? No contest. I'm impatient as all get out. Single Choice Early Action would have killed me.

Nope. If I'd wanted to apply to Princeton or Harvard ED/SCEA then I'd have gone for Yale SCEA. But... those schools really aren't for me.

No. Harvard and Princeton just aren't my kind of school.

nope me either, never had much interest in them.. i'm not even applying to princeton regular decision

i might have done pton ED, but then i dont know if i would give up MIT and chicago's multi-choice EAs. plus, i fell in love with Princeton after my visit during PUMaC, which was the second week of november. my heart would still be with mit by the early deadline.

nah. I was WAY too focused on the MIT app to even think about the others. im applying to them during the regular action round.

MIT was the only EA for me. Only one I could be bothered to wait for.

Like I told my interviewer who actually asked a similar question: never. MIT first and always :)
