Out of State Chances, also ED or RD?

I know there are a lot of these posts but i am getting very anxious. I've visited the campus once. I want to major in NeuroScience. I wanted to know If I have a good chance of getting in. Also, I am certain I am applying to medical school, any advice or comments of the pre-med program.

With those numbers, you are a very strong candidate for an institution like Cornell or Rice or Brown or JHU. I'm not certain if you have quite the resume/numbers for a place like Harvard, however.

Cornell's pre-med program is generally considered top notch. We produce more students who go on to get MDs and PhDs in the life sciences than any other school in the country. Undergraduate research abounds, and every pre-med student is given the endorsement to apply to med school, regardless of grades.

Note you can't major in neuroscience. You can, however, major in biology with a concentration in neurbio and concentrate in cognitive science. Basically the same thing. You can do this either in CALS or CAS. I assume you would plan on applying to CAS.

I would give you a 95 percent chance of getting in ED, and a 70 percent chance of getting in RD. With RD, what will be very important to you to express why you are so interested in Cornell. Cornell likes students that like Cornell. The school gets over 30,000 applications, so it needs to come through loud and clear.

I would apply ED if Cornell is your favorite school and financial aid considerations will not be a factor for you.

If you want to go to Cornell, you should ED. You have a very good chance imo.
