Thanks again!!!!!!!!!

you left out male/female...

but I think regardless, you have a very good chance.

I'm slightly confused how you are an IB candidate (which IB history are you taking?), but regardless of that, you are definitely in the most demanding schedule possible.

female... :/ does that ridiculously lower OOS acceptance rates?

we are an IB/AP school, so IB diploma candidates are in all AP classes but are given more work. I am testing in economics and human geo for the social science group.

ahhh i cant wait until April to know!!!!!! :) i am pretty worried about being an OOS female :/

Well, they do take some, you know, and you have an excellent record! If you haven't submitted the app yet, make sure your essay is as strong as possible - the essay is of great importance at W & M. And be sure to do the optional submission, as well. Good luck!

Good chance.

you seem very qualified, i got in with not nearly as high test scores or ec's.

It is challenging for OOS, but you have good qualifications and they take into consideration if you have transfered in high school. Do the optional submission and be creative -- Stand out -- think out of the box and show them who you are. Not everyone can show themselves clearly through writing an essay.

my son was just accepted to W & M yesterday for early decision .... now I'm worried that we should have tried for an Ivy (Notre Dame) is W&M really "all that"???

Yes W&M is all that.

Notre Dame is not an Ivy. Not to say that it is not a fine school.

But if this is an early decision program, as opposed to an early action program, it's a moot point: your decision is made.

Very good stats, and EC's - Debate/MUN are valued at W&M. Excellent chance.

I noticed the 'regionals' on your soccer resume - if you're planning to play in college, you may want to consider contacting the coaching staff; even a partial scholarship can help with those OOS tuition bills.

debbs - sorry, but it sounds like you're saying "Well, it can't be that great a school if they accepted my son." ;)

Nothing against ND, but they're technically not an "Ivy League" college. And if he applied EA to W&M, I'd assume he had good reasons for doing so. In any event, for the important things, esp. quality of instruction, he hasn't compromised a thing.

debbs, your son applied where he did for a reason. Obviously he liked W&M the best out of the schools he was applying to. And yes, W&M is amazing.

also, please feel free to start a new thread, so you don't send this one off topic. =)

sorry didn't mean to hijack the thread ... oops I knew Notre Dame isn't an Ivy, I meant to say ND and the Ivy he applied to ... pure vanity on my part for him to attend ND .... okay no more from me :) carry on ...

:) its okay
