hilary11:

UCLA: Match (out of state)

I don't know about that. It would really hinge on the SAT2s. I know kids with that profile who did not get accepted in state.

^^but dude! she was on 1 vs 100!!!

Hahah, yeah! I bet those other kids weren't :P
Jk, I doubt college admissions people will consider that "a high honor".

wow nice captain for basketball all 4 years... my coach only name seniors as captains lol coulda screwed up my chance of getting in :)

i had similar stats with the OP an out-of-stater.. that's how i based my answer.

i feel like the personal statements would be just as important as SAT2s. but i'm sure you have a lot to talk about, anyways.

I think you should have no problem if your SAT scores are improved (at least 700 for each)

match...but i don't think it'd hurt to take the SATs again

the OP never actually took the SATs yet..

i love 1 v. 100, you are my hero

Hahahaha thank you, hewhothrows :)

You shouldn't have too much trouble, I got in for fall 2008 Engineering out of state (Chicago) with similar stats, yet my test scores were higher, and my SAT II's were great. You have much better extracurriculars than me though. Just make sure your english teacher edits your personal statements several times and relax when you take the SAT's and you will be fine. Also think about taking the ACT just to see, maybe you will do better.

umm come back when you have your actual scores. I scored a 2120 on the practice SATs pretty regularly, but the highest I ever received was a 1990 (sent in only ACTs in the end, as they were much, much higher).

But other than that, you look great.

I'd put you at a slight reach, just cuz OOS is really competitive.

I'm from Chicago and got in pre-bizecon

4.0uw / 4.7w
3/885 rank
1850 SAT
31 ACT
650 US History
630 Lit.
620 Math II

My Ec's were basically Tennis 4 years, Jazz Guitar 4 Years, 10 hours community service.

I would say worry about the essay more than raising your Test scores.

readyornot:

UCLA: Slight Reach (out of state)

haha flopsy..i believe readyornot has already been accepted

well im oos, had lower gpa, 2080 sat, not as impressive EC and got in

You will make it in.
I got 3.5UW and got into ucla oos so......
