hey guys
i am a rising sr from new york and really interested in chapel hill.
i dont know my rank or weighted GPA but at the end of this year my overall average was a 96.5.
I am doing extensive preparation to take my act again and defiantly will raise my score (24) because i know that is killing me.
When i finish my sr year i will have taken all the ap science but those are the only three ap classes.
I will be taking 2 college level classes next year
I have volunteer experience at the hospital.

Vice-President of Honor Society
Involved in Environmental club and several other activities.
I was also involved in ballet for several years

i think it probably would. I have more ec's i didnt add i think the only thing thats holding me back for sure is my act. if that was raised do what you said do you think i have a shot?

yea an higher act would be great.....have you taken the S.a.t?.......it seems like your extra curriculars are pretty good......just make sure not to put too many extra curriculars.......just remember that on your application it is more important to put only a few that you are really passionate about opposed to many that you only do a little work with..... if you have any more questions email me personally at mdmcrae@email.unc.edu

Yeah my Sat's were not that good either ... i dont know i took a prep class at school but it only helped to improve my math and im working on my act this summer..anyone else have any advice. i would be appreciative..has anyone started any of the essays yet??

i started my essays.... ugh it seems like these essays will be my only chance in to UNC and so far it doesn't look like my essays are superb......errr!! so mad!! i wanna go to this school soooo bad

by the way does it help by doing the optional essay?? it says share a talent or passion if u have one... im wondering if it would help for me to do this. i mean im not very active in one specific thing but i guess i can put together an essay that shares my passion for technology/computers/photography ????? lol
