Out of State scholarship information

Hello all… Clemson does not offer an Out-of-state (OOS) waiver, but rather fixed amount scholarships. The $15,000 scholarship brings OOS tuition pretty close to in-state rates.

Admissions does super score on the SAT for admissions and scholarship purposes.

ClemsonCES, do you work for the university? If so, perhaps you can answer a question: If one has not heard from the school at this point, should one assume that scholarships are off the table and stop checking the mailbox until around February 15? Thanks.

A message on the honors website says all the National Scholars Program candidates have been notified. Anyone out there get the exciting news?

@Alex23 drop a quick email to admissions, they get back in a day or two, and have been very helpful to me

@gcbmib, not here… one stat I know is that they pretty much only took people in the top 1% of their high school class…

Yeah to clarify, Clemson doesn’t have the out of state scholarship waiver but scholarships up to $15,000/year - information about these scholarships are here: <a href=“Office of Student Financial Aid | Clemson University”>Office of Student Financial Aid | Clemson University;

DD was not selected for NSP weekend. She is in top 1% of her class with a 35 ACT, the usual slew of APs and dedicated to an extracurricular activity. Congrats to all who were selected. She did receive the top academic recruitment incentive, but as others have noted, it does not cover the out of state premium. Tiger10, we are keeping fingers crossed for other scholarship opportunities.

Scholarship offers are still going out.

Thanks. Good to know. We are currently freaking about University of Florida, which notifies Friday (online). We’re in Florida, and UF and Clemson have similar programs in my daughter’s major of choice, agriculture. However, depending on the result with UF (whose esoteric admissions process makes sense to no one but them), we may go back to freaking about Clemson on Saturday.

May I say I am glad the post office is going to stop Saturday delivery AFTER my daughter’s college admissions process is over.
