Out of State Scholarships?

Does UMich give good scholarships....for african americans?

well I got one called msa for minorities, Im hispanic.

I know several in-state minorities that got full-rides at my school, don't know how it works for OOS applicants though. They likely do.

kb might know if you ask him. I know he got a good amount of money from school but i dont know if his offer was minority-based.

I got 20k per year from UMich as an OOS. But, I am not a minority (Asian).

Two "minority" students I know received full tuition at U of M. One had a Mexican grandmother, the other had a Cherokee grandmother.

Both of these girls were pretty well off in the first place and could afford the full cost of tuition no problem. But hey, they add some "color" to Michigan. And by color I mean they look white.

full tuition.. sheesh.

watches as this thread devolves into another knock-down-drag-out fight on affirmative action....

Yeah, I got 20K, but my scholarship was not "for minorities"...although, its no like the LSA scholarship office didn't know I'm black, so it could have played in to the decision. There's no way to tell.
